ZION 1

In 2019, Jordan Brand announced that Zion Williamson was officially joining the family, making him the first Gen-Z signature athlete. Since then, he’s had an incredible debut in the league, played in the Air Jordan XXXIV and XXXV and let fans get to know him through multiple player exclusives.  Today, at 20 years old, Zion debuts his signature line, starting with the Jordan Zion 1. The result of many brainstorms and wear tests, the Jordan Zion 1 embodies Zion’s out-of-this-world talent and down-to-earth personality. It was designed for his style of play using a full-length Air Strobel, an energy-returning Zoom Air unit, a secure two-loop forefoot band and a re-engineered herringbone traction pattern.

NONCHALANT POWER

On January 22, 2020, Zion Williamson’s first NBA basket was a quiet one. He scored off a put-back, swimming around the box-out with ease, grabbing the rebound off two feet before taking two quick power dribbles and banking off the glass. But those are the kind of contrary descriptions — the nonchalant power, the agility on a whim — that make designing for an athlete of Williamson’s caliber so intriguing. That, and the fact that he would christen his opening shot by scoring 17 straight points in the fourth quarter, ending the night with the most points per minute in an NBA player’s debut in the shot-clock era.

A STAR EVEN BEFORE THE DRAFT.

From the moment the public laid eyes on Zion Williamson, we knew he was different. For millions of viewers, it came by camera-phone footage from packed South Carolina gyms, where this high schooler was reeling off dunks with an unfathomable blend of power and elegance. In a span that felt like a heartbeat, Zion continued his domination at the highest level of college basketball and again in the professional ranks, where he has become the youngest NBA All-Star since LeBron James.

MADE TO MOVE DIFFERENT

The Zion 1 kicks off his signature line with a design inspired by his duality of humility meets superhuman ability. Full-length Air Strobel cushioning is stacked with a Zoom Air unit in the forefoot—a sensational mix of plush underfoot comfort and rapid responsiveness. It's light, stable and strong, with aggressive traction to help Zion grip the court and control his power.

STREETWEAR YOU CAN PLAY IN

Zion likes versatile pieces he can hoop in and wear all day. The Jordan Dri-FIT Zion Jersey stretches from court to street with midweight, sweat-wicking mesh fabric and classic ribbed collar and armholes. An allover Zion print is topped in the back by his jersey number.
