LEBRON XXI

built for basketball’s next generation

It was 2003 when LeBron Raymone James made his highly anticipated NBA debut. His performance didn't disappoint - neither did the 20 years that followed. Sure, there have been ups and downs, but such is life. The fact that LBJ is cemented in the history of top-five NBA greatness is indisputable, but what is perhaps equally impressive is the consistency of his eliteness.

CONSISTENCY HAS BEEN KEY

It wasn't only LeBron that made his big debut in '03. It was also the first time we got a look at the Nike Air Zoom Generation, AKA the LeBron 1.
While the greatness of James' game has stayed the same, it's been the sneakers that have gone on his feet where we've witnessed the most change.

As the LeBron XXI drops this week, it serves as a reminder of how far basketball performance technology has come. Lightweight materials, footbed support from zonal cables, layers of state-of-the-art cushioning and wrapped in a perforated shell providing enhanced breathability - all bear witness to the creativity and craft that has gone into the shoe that adorns the feet of the king.

Copping a pair from one of our stores this week is bound to start a conversation, and when someone asks what you think has been the key to LeBron James' consistency over these past 20 years - point to your feet. You know the rest...
